OUR STORY
A dream born in the heart of God.
Every great transformation begins with a purpose.
The story of Instituto Khuririm has its roots in 1998, when the desire arose to use sport as a tool for social transformation.
What began as a dream placed by God in the heart of its founder became a mission: to offer opportunities to children and teenagers, especially those facing social vulnerability.
Along the way, we learned that teaching goes far beyond a sports technique.
It is welcoming. It is guiding. It is teaching respect. It is developing discipline. It is helping a child believe in themselves.
Today, Instituto Khuririm carries this purpose forward, expanding its work through sport, education, social-emotional development and specialized support.
Our mission is not only to train athletes. It is to help shape human beings with principles, values and opportunities for the future.

With a career dedicated to sport and human development, Anderson Khuririm believes that the true value of a social project lies in the lives it is able to reach.
His vision starts from one principle: sport can be a powerful tool for education, care and social transformation.
The Institute carries this mission forward, bringing together people, professionals, volunteers and partners committed to building new opportunities.

Cristiano Caporezzo

Some partnerships do not begin with big projects, but with encounters that God prepares along our journey.
In 2019, when Cristiano Caporezzo was still preparing to run for a seat on the Uberlândia City Council, his story crossed paths with Anderson Khuririm's through jiu-jitsu.
Khuririm was his son's instructor, and from that relationship a bond of trust was born.
By then, Khuririm had already dedicated years of his life to working with children through sport. During a conversation, he shared with Caporezzo a dream he carried in his heart: to expand this work and reach more and more children and teenagers, offering opportunities for transformation through sport, education and the shaping of principles and values.
Caporezzo listened to that dream and immediately committed to helping make it come true.
Since then, he has become an important supporter and sponsor of the project, helping to strengthen this mission.
OUR PROGRAMS
Five paths. One single purpose: transforming lives.
Jiu-jitsu: sport and character building
Jiu-jitsu is one of the main tools of transformation used by the Institute.
Through sport, children and teenagers develop discipline, respect, self-control, confidence, responsibility and the ability to overcome challenges.
Our work is not limited to sports training. We seek to teach values that will stay with our students for life.
Social-emotional development
We believe emotional development is as important as physical and intellectual development.
That is why we work on skills such as self-awareness, empathy, respect, coexistence, communication, responsibility and emotional intelligence.
Our goal is to help children and teenagers learn to recognize their emotions, build healthy relationships and face everyday challenges.
English: knowledge that opens doors
Access to education broadens horizons and creates possibilities.
Through English language teaching, we seek to offer new opportunities for learning, cultural development and preparation for the future.
Spanish: broadening horizons
Learning a new language also means discovering new cultures and expanding the possibilities of communication.
Spanish language activities contribute to the educational and cultural development of participants.
Psychological support
With the support of licensed professionals, we seek to offer care, guidance and psychological support, contributing to the emotional well-being and healthy development of participants.
We understand that caring for emotions is also part of building a better future.
